* I finally got a title! *

All in a minute
(a teen story)

I walk down the hall and see your face,
automatically my heart starts to race.
My body goes into overload and I don't know what to do,
everything goes out the window, I no longer know what I thought I knew.
I can't think yet I used to be smart.
My stomach flips and the butterflies start.
My senses work faster though,
I take it all in as I go.
Do I look at you and take a chance?
Or should I just skip the small glance?
If I look at your eyes I'll get weak in the knees
What has this boy done to me?
Does he even know my name?
Does he look at me the same?
Does he like me just as much?
Or is this all a stupid crush...
I'm young and it shouldn't be this way,
but it is something I just can't change.
It's subconscious beyond my control
I wish I could bury it all in a hole.
I know I am falling way to fast
without a safe landing in my grasp.
And even though it's my heart he's stealing,
I don't mind the roller coaster feeling.
I smile when I think of it
and I don't want to stop but I need to quit.
You have me smiling all day long,
almost like my own little song.
I want to sing all the time.
I just can't get you off my mind.
Nothing can match or come above
this feeling I have, could it be love?

A new poem I wrote.

This poem is really different from the rest of mine but I really like it. Also this particular poem is told from a young boy's point of view.

Playing Pretend
(A child's story)

My journey on a pirate ship was great.
Everyone said words like "argh" and "Hey mate!"
I was supposed to mop the decks
and also spot all the shipwrecks.
There it is the buried treasure!
Gold coins, jewels, things beyond measure.
As I dreamed,
I heard them scream.
Oh no! Watch out!
I heard them shout.
The captain was coming and I had better watch out.
With his long beard and leg made of wood.
I had to be sure I was doing what I should.
He was mean and ruthless,
he also was a bit toothless.
Thats how things are on the open sea,
no problems, no cares, your worry free!
People dirty everywhere
and only one bathroom for us to share.
You don't have to brush the pearly whites,
you spit and yell and get in fights.
No one makes you brush your hair
or take a bath, no one cares.
Some people might think ewww,
but I loved it with the crew.
No land or girls in sight.
So for me it was the perfect life.
Until my mom came out and said,
"Honey, you need to go to bed!"
I had to leave I had to go,
but someday I would come back I know...

(By the way almost all my titles have a subtitle, I like to put it because it tells what the poem is about or what it relates to.)
